Online Learning Info

Hello Friends!  Welcome to Wee Bop's online learning page. Our goal is to stay connected to our Wee Bop community and keep your family occupied and learning during this pandemic time. We feel so thankful that technology is widely available to maintain our music education at this time and are grateful you're here to sing and dance with us.

Getting set up

Before joining a class, we highly recommend you do a few things to get set up the right way.

  1. Save to your home screen on your phone or tablet (this will create the appearance of an app, so you can easily access the videos on your device). For Apple users, see this article. For Android users, see this article.
  2. Create a free Zoom account and get everything set up for video classes. We have all our classes on Zoom, so you need to have an account. Make sure you can access Zoom on your device (phone or tablet) if you want to participate anywhere in the house.
  3. If you wish to view your class on a bigger screen follow these instructions to connect your phone with your TV.  Or these instructions to connect your laptop to your TV.
  4. Schedule an appointment on your calendar for your class time so you remember to attend.
  5. Gather together your music supplies.  If you don't have all the instruments from class here are some ideas for substitutes:
    • Rhythm Sticks = chop sticks or handles of wooden spoons
    • Scarf = a "fashion" scarf, dish towel, fabric napkin
    • Shaker = plastic Easter egg, plastic container with lid, cheese or yogurt container with lid filled with beans, rice or beads.
    • Drum = plastic bucket or container, empty oatmeal container

Amazing teachers using ingenuity and flexibility to connect with the kids they love and who LOVE them.  My big kid had the best time seeing his "very own Ms. Chellie" for music class via Zoom today.  I'm grateful for this glimpse of normalcy and the joy music brings to my kid’s lives!  We love you Ms. Chellie and the Wee Bop team.
